My selection for Comadre is based on artists I have recently engaged with and who have demonstrated a particular interest in social issues, participatory methods and contextual practices. In light of the state of the world and the socio-political issues at stake, I chose artists (predominantly male) whose practices testify to a genuine commitment to causes, although imbued with poetics to instill hope.
