In accordance with article 38, caput of federal law 9610/1998, as well as article 14 of the Berne Convention, promulgated in Brazil through decree 75699/1975, the owner of this artistic work, when commercializing it, must transfer it to the artist or his successors, as a resale right, the amount corresponding to 50% (fifty) of the profit that may be earned with this new commercial transaction (resale) within a period of 30 days. If the author does not receive his resale right within the stipulated period, the seller is considered depositary of the amount owed to him, unless the transaction is carried out by an auctioneer, when this will be the depositary (as determined in the sole paragraph of article 38 of the federal law 9610/1998).

Ana Sabiá is a visual artist, researcher and professor of photography at the Department of Visual Arts at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC). He teaches courses and workshops on photography and contemporary art on virtual teaching platforms and undergraduate and extension programs at public universities in Brazil. She works with photographic research developed based on the body, surrealism and self-representation as a strategy for critically problematizing themes that permeate feminism, identities, poetry, literature, psychoanalysis and autobiography in contemporary photography and in the creation of artist's books. He actively participates in the Brazilian and international artistic scene, with exhibitions in Brazil and countries such as France, Italy, Portugal and Mexico. Author of several publications on photography with academic articles, in addition to several artist books such as “Do porão ao estátão” (2021, Prêmio Foto em Pauta, ed. Tempo d'Imagem); “Solitaire Game” (2023, ed. Lovely House and Tempo d'Imagem).
