In accordance with article 38, caput of federal law 9610/1998, as well as article 14 of the Berne Convention, promulgated in Brazil through decree 75699/1975, the owner of this artistic work, when commercializing it, must transfer it to the artist or his successors, as a resale right, the amount corresponding to 50% (fifty) of the profit that may be earned with this new commercial transaction (resale) within a period of 30 days. If the author does not receive his resale right within the stipulated period, the seller is considered depositary of the amount owed to him, unless the transaction is carried out by an auctioneer, when this will be the depositary (as determined in the sole paragraph of article 38 of the federal law 9610/1998).

Felippe Moraes | @felippemoraes | Rio de Janeiro | 1988 | He has been an independent artist, researcher and curator since 2009. He lives and works between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Master's degree from the University of Northampton in the United Kingdom. His research is focused on the epistemology of reason and its relationships with spirituality, mythology and ancestry as possibilities for re-enchanting the world. His main solo exhibitions are Ovo Cósmico (2023) at Verve Galeria, Samba Exaltação (2021) at Vale do Anhangabaú in São Paulo and at MAC-Niterói in Rio de Janeiro, as well as Samba da Luz (2021) at Biblioteca Mário de Andrade and at Estação da Luz in the capital of São Paulo. Solfejo (2019) at Centro Cultural Fiesp and Imensurável (2018) at Caixa Cultural de Fortaleza. He is the author of the public works Monumento ao Horizonte (2016) in Niterói and Monumento a Euclides (2017) in Romania and his work is in important collections such as Museu de Arte do Rio, MAM-SP, MACRS, MAC-Niterói and CCSP.
